Returns, refunds and consumer rights

35% processing and restocking fee

Except where applicable law gives a customer a non-waivable right, all approved returns that are not caused by a product fault or a Votsolix fulfillment or instruction error are subject to a 35% processing and restocking fee. The fee is calculated on the purchase price of the returned product or products.

This 35% fee applies to voluntary returns, including change of mind, ordering the wrong model, ordering the wrong connector or cable length, incompatibility not caused by incorrect Votsolix information, or another reason unrelated to a product fault or mandatory consumer right. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, the customer is responsible for return shipping and original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Voluntary returns must be requested through the Contact page with the order number and reason for return. The product must be unused, in resalable condition, and returned with its original accessories, manuals, and packaging. A refund will be issued after the return is received and inspected, less the 35% fee and any other deduction permitted by applicable law.

Instruction or product-use issue

If installation, compatibility, or product instructions supplied by Votsolix are materially incorrect and directly cause a product-use issue, Votsolix will review the claim and provide the remedy required by applicable law. This may include a repair, replacement, return and refund, or another remedy. No 35% processing or restocking fee applies to a confirmed instruction-related issue. Votsolix will provide return instructions and will cover reasonable return shipping where required by applicable law or where the issue is confirmed to have been caused by our instructions.

Defective, damaged, unsafe, misdescribed, or not-fit-for-purpose products

If a product is defective, damaged on arrival, unsafe, materially different from its description, not fit for a purpose made known to Votsolix, or the wrong product was supplied, the available remedy will be handled under applicable law. The 35% fee does not apply to these claims. This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer guarantee, warranty, safety obligation, or other legal right.

United Kingdom and European Union

Where applicable law gives a consumer a distance-selling cancellation or withdrawal right, that right applies without the 35% fee. For UK and EU distance contracts, this commonly includes 14 days from delivery to notify the trader, followed by the statutory period to send the goods back. Votsolix will refund the amounts required by applicable law, including standard delivery where required. Return postage may be the customer's responsibility only where the law allows it and the customer was informed before purchase. We may make a lawful deduction for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.

Australia

Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees cannot be excluded, restricted, or replaced by this policy. If a product has a major failure, or another consumer-guarantee failure, Votsolix will provide the remedy required by law, which may include a repair, replacement, refund, cancellation, or compensation. The 35% fee never applies to a consumer-guarantee claim. A change-of-mind return is generally not a statutory refund right in Australia; where Votsolix accepts such a voluntary return, the 35% fee applies subject to applicable law.

United States and Canada

Consumer return and warranty rights vary by state, province, and territory. The 35% fee applies to voluntary returns only where permitted by applicable law and does not reduce any statutory refund, warranty, repair, replacement, cancellation, or other consumer right.

Refund timing and inspection

Refunds are issued after the returned product is received and inspected, unless applicable law requires an earlier remedy or timing. Refunds are made using the original payment method where required by law. We may request reasonable information or evidence to assess a claim, but we will not use that request to remove or shorten a mandatory consumer right.
